Service Description
Join us on the farm for our summer series, Little Sprouts Outdoor Farm School! Join your kiddo(s) on the farm to explore farming, permaculture, animal encounters, and fun, farm activities! The summer series will be 8 weeks long with a different theme and activity each week. Join us as we learn about gardening, animals, nature, art, and so much more! Each class will include hands-on animal interactions. Classes take place on Friday mornings from 10 AM to 12 PM. Parents must be with children at all times but do not have to pay for their entry. Signed farm waivers are required upon arrival. Must register or notify the farmer of intent to come at least 48 hours prior to the class to ensure a proper headcount for materials. Week 1, June 21st: Identifying eggs, egg candling, and baby chicks! Week 2, June 28th: Pressed flower bookmarks Week 3, July 5th: Make your own tea Week 4, July 12th: Quickles (learn to make quick pickles) Week 5, July 19th: Building a mouse house Week 6, July 26th: Herb drying racks Week 7, August 2nd: Farm scavenger hunt Week 8, August 9th: Hugelkultur bean plantings and baby goats Classes can be paid for one at a time or as a season package. Separate entry must be purchased for each child. 20 percent off each class for siblings. Class space is limited, so our classes are non-refundable. As each class only occurs once, any missed classes cannot be made up at a later date. This program is aimed at children ages 12 and under, with more complex projects available for older kiddos. If you have contact with a ruminant in your life, please come in clothing that has not been exposed to other ruminants, we will ask everyone to use hand sanitizer and spray their shoes prior to entry for the safety of our herd and babies.
